Program Overview

Though COVID-19 has become a low concern for many, there are still certain populations at higher risk of progressing to severe COVID-19 should they become infected with SARS-CoV-2. These include immunocompromised groups; older patients; patients with comorbidities, such as chronic kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, or diabetes; and challenges in social determinants of health. There are treatment considerations for many of these populations, including drug-drug interactions, as well as considerations when educating or providing comprehensive healthcare. In this self-directed activity, faculty provide expert perspectives on the top 10 topics around COVID-19 through a series of short videos.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for clinicians who are best positioned to identify and treat patients at high-risk for severe COVID: MD, NP, and PA internal medicine, primary care, family medicine, and urgent care clinicians.
